Ano Nuevo Elephant Seals
Your first stop as you make your way down is Ano Nuevo. Almost year round on the beaches you will find hundreds of Elephant Seals that you can walk up to.
The Sea Otters of Moss Landing Harbor Channel
It is a local secret that you can almost always spot Sea Otters playing and lounging in the harbors of Moss Landing. On many occasions people have been able to photograph them as close as 5 feet away! They come here to bathe in the warm waters and get away from the rough seas.
Driving Highway 1 from north to south, take the Moss Landing Road exit to your right and stop at the small bay full of boats. The harbor will be immediatley on your right side where you'll often find 1-8 Sea Otters relaxing. You can get some really great views here.
